CURE FOR AUTISM??

Here is where you should first introduce yourself to the community. You can also post threads here that have nothing to do with autism / discrimination / campaigning. It's basically our miscellaneous forum for everything that doesn't go somewhere else.

CURE FOR AUTISM??

Post by Nice Berg »

Not sure if it's a good thing but this popped up in my feed a while back, and it seems easy to test...

Link to actual study here. https://doi.org/10.1002/acn3.424

The average IQ of these kids was quite low, 80 ish (anything less that 85 is subnormal) and the animal studies that precided it are models of autism briadly related to brain damage / interlectual disfunction. I'm not pursuaded they are treating autsm so much as low IQ here.

Yep, you could well be right.

I'd like to use this thread in future to collect these articles as I find them, just in case Either I find anything intrinsically useful or in case anything comes together from disparate articles.

AND I'd also like to start a thread about alternatve "cancer remedies" (I carefully avoided the word "treatment") since I have personal hands on experience of using one on my cat once with surprising results.

I feel after fifty years of watching people get this horrible disease that the current approach of "leave it to the professionals" has just resulted in me having a shop up the road where I can buy 5 dvds for a quid, which is nice, but I'd rather "cancer research" had been a bit more productive.

I'm concerned (as a conspiracy theorist) that a lot of facts about cancer have been carefully hidden from the public and note that indeed an actual law was passed (the cancer act 1931 IIRC) to prohibit alternative treatments and protocols being explored by the general public.

I submit that Cancer has been one of my Autistic special interest subjects since 1967, and I am certain that we are NOT being served at all well by the current paradigm. From my experience of my own life and over on the NAS forum I have concluded that us Autists are mainly useless but occasionally can really bring home the bacon, when we put our minds to it. There is also a hard core of unconventional thinkers who might actually make a real contribution if we pool our efforts.

I'm skeptical but I'd far rather tell you you are wrong if I disagree with you than tell you you can't express an opinion.
